Competitiveness Coalition on Liberals’ Lobbying Push: “Conservatives, Wake Up Before it is Too Late”

WASHINGTON – As activist groups call for Congress to pass a series of misguided antitrust proposals during the lame-duck session, Competitiveness Coalition Chair Scott Brown released the following statement:

“The litany of left-wing groups lobbying Chuck Schumer to pass the American Innovation and Choice Online Act says everything you need to know about this incredibly flawed bill. The legislation would destroy American tech companies, pour cold water on innovators, and make life more difficult for consumers a week before the holiday shopping season starts in earnest.  Say goodbye to your Amazon Prime and free two-day shipping and say hello to standing in massive lines with throngs of other shoppers on Black Friday if this bill gets passed. It’s shocking that this antitrust bill still enjoys support from Republican lawmakers. If this push from far-left activist groups wasn’t the red flag for conservatives to bail, I don’t know what is. Republican supporters of this legislation: wake up before it’s too late.”

To further hammer home the point, the Competitiveness Coalition also re-upped its “Top 10 Examples of Left-Wing Praise for Amy Klobuchar’s Antitrust Bill,” including a rogue’s gallery of liberal heavy hitters such as Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren and the Squad.
