WASHINGTON – Today, Scott Brown, chair of the Competitiveness Coalition, issued the following statement on Lina Khan’s, Chair of the Federal Trade Commission, wide-ranging interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box”:
“Chair Khan’s unwillingness to answer tough questions is becoming part of a disturbing pattern. From concerns about overreach that are stifling innovation to her collusion with European regulators to punish American companies, Khan is hell-bent on using a once-independent agency to implement a hard-left agenda. There’s a reason employee morale is sinking and the Commission is devoid of any Republican representation. Lina Khan’s FTC is out of control and Congress needs to act before our economic strength and global competitiveness pays the ultimate price.”
