Scott Brown Blasts Buttigieg and Khan For Putting Partisan Politics Ahead Of Governing Responsibility

In Aftermath Of Helene, Khan Hits Campaign Trail With Liberals While Buttigieg Leads Vice Presidential Debate Preparation

WASHINGTON – In response to a report from Punchbowl News that Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina Khan plans to hits “the road with Democrats ahead of election” while Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg led the debate preparation efforts for Governor Tim Walz, Competitiveness Coalition Chair Scott Brown issued the following statement:

“We know President Biden is long gone, but is anyone in his administration even pretending to focus on their governing obligations or is the entire federal government focused solely on the upcoming presidential election? In the face of a catastrophic hurricane, Secretary Pete Buttigieg was reportedly holed up in a multi-day debate prep session.  Then you have Chair Khan, who in between sitting down for fawning long form interviews by the mainstream media, decided to campaign alongside the likes of hardened socialists like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), as well as  in the key swing state of Arizona with Senate candidate Ruben Gallego, showing her true priorities: helping her fellow leftists get elected. Making matters even more galling is Khan’s request for ever more taxpayer dollars to execute her extreme agenda. If there is a silver lining, at least the focus on partisan politics will slow down the implementations of their wild-eyed policy ideas, but that doesn’t justify their dereliction of duty or the obligation of the mainstream press to hold them all to account.”

Since 2022, the Competitiveness Coalition has been sounding the alarm on the FTC’s egregious overreach and concerning actions. The Coalition has been especially focused on allegations of Khan’s collusion with European regulators to implement sweeping new policies on American technology companies.
