Klobuchar’s Antitrust Agenda Gives ‘Callous’ New Meaning During Inflation Crisis

WASHINGTON – As the nation grapples with an 8.5% annual inflation rate, Competitiveness Coalition Chair Scott Brown today blasted liberal leaders in Washington for continuing to peddle dangerous antitrust legislation.

“Liberal leaders’ unwillingness to drop their antitrust legislation gives ‘callous’ a new level of meaning,” said Chair Scott Brown. “With two consecutive quarters of declining GDP and more spending on the way in the latest tax and spend bill, Americans have quickly learned that bad policies lead to painful real-life consequences. If passed, the American Innovation and Choice Online Act would reduce consumer choice and drive prices up even higher. The insanity needs to stop now.”

Earlier today the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released its Consumer-Price Index for the month of July – a marked increase from the 1.4 percent in January 2021 when the Biden Administration took office.
