Competitiveness Coalition Announces “Center for a Free Economy” As Latest Member

The Free Market Non-Profit Swells The Coalition’s Ranks to 24

WASHINGTON – Today the Competitiveness Coalition welcomed the Center for a Free Economy as its newest member, bringing the total number of organizations and individuals to 24. The addition arrives at an important moment with lawmakers returning to Washington and the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) steadfast commitment to an anti-business agenda despite a sustained losing streak.

Underscoring the groundswell of opposition to the FTC’s misguided agenda, the addition of the Center for a Free Economy comes on the heels of the Josiah Bartlett Center and Southwest Public Policy Institute joining the Coalition.

Led by president Ryan Ellis, the Center for a Free Economy is a policy-based, conservative non-profit dedicated to advancing free market public policy reforms on the national, state and local levels.

“We are pleased to welcome the Center for a Free Economy to the growing Coalition,” said Scott Brown, Chair of the Competitiveness Coalition. “Ryan’s deep knowledge of fiscal and regulatory policy brings a key perspective to the Coalition as we continue to counter harmful policies put forth by radical Biden appointees,” continued Brown.

“Center for a Free Economy is excited to join the Competitiveness Coalition and join the group leading the charge in advocating to preserve American competitiveness,” stated Center for a Free Economy President Ryan Ellis. “We are looking forward to working with the accomplished organizations and individuals who are members of the Coalition to promote policies focused on strengthening the economy and promoting innovation throughout the country,” continued Ellis.

The Competitiveness Coalition launched in 2022 with 15 members, including consumer, small business and taxpayer advocates, united to highlight the misguided attempts to curb American competitiveness, overregulate and harm the job-creating tech sector.
