“The relentless assault on American innovation, the economy, and our competitiveness on the global stage has finally come to an end”
WASHINGTON – Today, Competitiveness Coalition Chair Scott Brown issued the following statement marking the last day of Lina Khan on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC):
“At long last, Lina Khan’s relentless assault on American innovation, the economy, and our competitiveness on the global stage has come to an end.” said Brown, a former U.S. Senator and Ambassador. “From continued collusion with European regulators, celebrating the end of the Amazon-iRobot proposed merger, which cost hundreds of American jobs, or working with the CCP-backed Temu to further her agenda against Amazon, Khan put her own misguided politics and destructive ideology over the interests of the American people. In doing so, she damaged the reputation of the FTC immeasurably, and set the Commission, as well as the broader American economy, back decades. Thankfully, this long national nightmare has come to an end.”
For nearly three years, the Competitiveness Coalition has been sounding the alarm on the FTC’s egregious overreach and concerning actions.
