“Alvaro Bedoya’s confirmation to the Federal Trade Commission will further fuel Chair Lina Khan’s radical agenda to halt American innovation and competitiveness,” stated Chair Scott Brown. “FTC commissioners have the unique power to make decisions that impact the global positioning of the United States. Americans should be concerned that the FTC’s long history of bipartisanship is now at risk as the Biden Administration continues to pursue harmful economic policies that expand the federal government’s reach into how America’s most successful businesses regularly operate. At a time of record inflation, hardworking taxpayers, families and businesses deserve policymakers that use sound judgment, rather than blatant partisan pandering.”
