Chair Brown Statement Issues Warning to Conservatives: Don’t Be Fooled By Attempts to Revitalize Antitrust Efforts Under the Guise of Content Moderation

WASHINGTON – Competitiveness Coalition Chair Scott Brown released the following statement in response to congressional attempts to utilize recent reports of the federal government possibly “jawboning” online content to breathe life into their misguided antitrust efforts.

“Conservatives everywhere must remain vigilant and not allow questions about content moderation to fuel misguided antitrust legislation. The Amy Klobuchar bill will do nothing to address concerns about censorship, but they would destroy some of America’s most successful homegrown companies, throw a wet blanket on the innovators of tomorrow and embolden the Communist Chinese Party in their quest to dominate the global tech race. The American Innovation and Choice Online Act must be defeated.”
