Competitiveness Coalition Highlights Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days 2026

WASHINGTON – Ahead of Amazon’s annual “Prime Big Deal Days,” the Competitiveness Coalition issued the following statement highlighting how competition across the retail marketplace gives consumers more choices, greater convenience and more opportunities to save:

“Families across America look forward to Prime Big Deal Days as an opportunity to stretch their dollars and find savings, but the benefits of competition extend beyond any one company,” said Competitiveness Coalition Chairman Ronna McDaniel. “When one retailer offers major deals, competitors respond with sales of their own, giving consumers more choices and opportunities to save. Before Congress and federal regulators advance harmful legislation like the American Innovation and Choice Online Act, they must recognize these concrete consumer wins and consider how restrictive policies could strip away the choices everyday shoppers depend on.”

Amazon’s “Prime Big Deal Days” has inspired other major retailers to roll out their own competing sales, including Walmart’s “Fall Deals,” “Target Circle Deal Days” and Nordstrom’s “End-of-Season Clearance.”
